Experience Dental Awesomeness.
At Desert Rose Dental we believe going to the dentist can be more than an uncomfortable teeth cleaning, a lecture on sweets, and a quick exam... that it can actually be something you enjoy. If you're getting out of the house, the office, or 3rd period math to go to the dentist, you are probably in a good mood. We like to keep you in a good mood and send you back more relaxed and healthy than when you walked in. Your health and comfort are our highest priorities.
Dr. Raechel Nelson (you can just call her Raechel, by the way) offers complete family dental services for parents and children of all ages. She's expert in the use of the latest technology, including digital x-rays, intraoral photography, implants, tooth-colored fillings, and sedation dentistry. Raechel also has iPads on her chairs so you can take in your favorite show or music while she gracefully tends to your oral health.
Raechel earned her Bachelors of Medical Sciences degree and DDS degree from the University of Colorado. After graduation, she completed advanced training in general dentistry from the University of Utah's General Practice Residency program. She stays current with her dental education with post-graduate studies and is a member of the following organizations:
- The Utah Dental Association
- The American Dental Association
- Salt Lake District Dental Society
- The American Association of Women Dentist
- Academy of General Dentistry
- Christian Medical Dental Association
Raechel and her husband, Dennis, live in Herriman and enjoy exploring Utah's beautiful mountains and deserts on foot, bike, skis, snowshoes, and horseback. She's involved in the community and regularly volunteers her time and awesome experience at Donated Dental, a free dental clinic in Salt Lake.
